Waugh, Evelyn Brideshead Revisited Boston Little Brown 1945 First American Cloth Near Fine Very Good Hardcover 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall 351 pp. The true first American issue published in 1945, in a print run of 600 copies which preceded the 1946 release of the First Trade Edition. Stated "1945" on both the title and the copyright pages. In publisher's red cloth with black title and "broken column" in black on the front board. Jacket has Lester Peterson fountain illustration; unclipped; closed tear at base of front panel; minor surface wear at base of spine. Otherwise an attractive jacket in a mylar sleeve. Text block bears faintest ghost of mark at upper right corner of ffep. Price: 90.00 CDN
