301 pp. 169 illustrations; pictorial endpapers. An American resident's view of "Tokio". ncludes notes on a visit to a lacquer maker, porcelain makers, concerts, sacred places, New Year festivities etc.. The book is well-preserved with hinges sturdy and intact; corners are rubbed through the pictorial paper cover and there is rubbing of the paper cover along the hinges. Otherwise the book is tight square, unmarked and complete in attractive paper-covered boards with cherry blosson motif and Mount Fuji fancifully depicted beneath a Japanese warrior mounted on a soaring whale.
